Fancy Dress for Kids

Diwali is particularly appealing to kids as they get to buy new clothes, firecrackers and toys. All the schools declare a 1 week Diwali holiday which turns out as fun time for the kids. They play and enjoy the festivity, participate in painting and fun activity contests at melas. They enjoy eating lots of chocolates, snacks and sweets.

Kid’s enjoy and have lots of fun on Diwali melas where they enjoy amusement rides, learn to make toys and buy loads of goodies. These carnivals enable every child to help poor kids and kids in the orphanage. They make toys and art and craft items and gift it to these kids and enjoy with them.

Many residential societies organize fancy dress competitions on Diwali. Kids dress up in colorful and ethnic clothes for the contest. 

Diwali fancy dress competitions attract not only kids but also their parents. Every one plans for something different and versatile for the occasion.

You may select costumes from the epic Ramayana or Mahabharta, or simply plan for the Rajasthani traditional dresses for instance, ghagra chunni or the nagin dancer costume. Punjabi Bhangra dance costumes are more popular. Kurta pajama, sarees or salwar kameez always look pretty on kids. Dhoti kurta is also a good option.
